The ropes of the wicked tighten around me, but I do not forget your law. | 61Though the ropes of the wicked have ensnared me, I have not forgotten your instruction. |
In the middle of the night I arise to thank you for your just regulations. | 62At midnight I will get up to thank you for your righteous ordinances. |

It was good for me to suffer, so that I might learn your statutes. | 71It was for my good that I was humbled; so that I would learn your statutes. |
The law you have revealed is more important to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. | 72Instruction that comes from you is better for me than thousands of gold and silver coins. |
Your hands made me and formed me. Give me understanding so that I might learn your commands. | 73Your hands made and formed me; give me understanding, that I may learn your commands. |

I desperately long for your deliverance. I find hope in your word. | 81I long for your deliverance; I have looked to your word, placing my hope in it. |
My eyes grow tired as I wait for your promise to be fulfilled. I say, "When will you comfort me?" | 82My eyes grow weary with respect to what you have promised— I keep asking, "When will you comfort me?" |
For I am like a wineskin dried up in smoke. I do not forget your statutes. | 83Though I have become like a water skin dried by smoke, I have not forgotten your statutes. |
How long must your servant endure this? When will you judge those who pursue me? | 84How many days must your servant endure this? When will you judge those who persecute me? |
The arrogant dig pits to trap me, which violates your law. | 85The arrogant have dug pitfalls for me disobeying your instruction. |
All your commands are reliable. I am pursued without reason. Help me! | 86All of your commands are reliable. I am persecuted without cause—help me! |

If I had not found encouragement in your law, I would have died in my sorrow. | 92Had your instruction not been my pleasure, I would have died in my affliction. |
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have revived me. | 93I will never forget your precepts, for you have revived me with them. |

Your words are sweeter in my mouth than honey! | 103How pleasing is what you have to say to me— tasting better than honey. |
Your precepts give me discernment. Therefore I hate all deceitful actions. | 104I obtain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every false way. |
Your word is a lamp to walk by, and a light to illumine my path. | 105Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my pathway. |
I have vowed and solemnly sworn to keep your just regulations. | 106I have given my word and affirmed it, to keep your righteous judgments. |
I am suffering terribly. O LORD, revive me with your word! | 107I am severely afflicted. Revive me, LORD, according to your word. |
O LORD, please accept the freewill offerings of my praise! Teach me your regulations! | 108LORD, please accept my voluntary offerings of praise, and teach me your judgments. |
My life is in continual danger, but I do not forget your law. | 109Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I do not forget your instruction. |
The wicked lay a trap for me, but I do not wander from your precepts. | 110Though the wicked lay a trap for me, I haven't wandered away from your precepts. |
I claim your rules as my permanent possession, for they give me joy. | 111I have inherited your decrees forever, because they are the joy of my heart. |
I am determined to obey your statutes at all times, to the very end. | 112As a result, I am determined to carry out your statutes forever. |
I hate people with divided loyalties, but I love your law. | 113I despise the double-minded, but I love your instruction. |
You are my hiding place and my shield. I find hope in your word. | 114You are my fortress and shield; I hope in your word. |
Turn away from me, you evil men, so that I can observe the commands of my God. | 115Leave me, you who practice evil, that I may observe the commands of my God. |
Sustain me as you promised, so that I will live. Do not disappoint me! | 116Sustain me, God, as you have promised, and I will live. Do not let me be ashamed of my hope. |
Support me, so that I will be delivered. Then I will focus on your statutes continually. | 117Support me, that I may be saved, and I will carry out your statutes consistently. |
You despise all who stray from your statutes, for they are deceptive and unreliable. | 118You reject all who wander from your statutes, since their deceitfulness is vain. |
You remove all the wicked of the earth like slag. Therefore I love your rules. | 119You remove all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love your decrees. |
My body trembles because I fear you; I am afraid of your judgments. | 120My flesh trembles out of fear of you, and I am in awe of your judgments. |

I am your servant. Give me insight, so that I can understand your rules. | 125Since I am your servant, give me understanding, so I will know your decrees. |
It is time for the LORD to act--they break your law! | 126It is time for the LORD to act, since they have violated your instruction. |
For this reason I love your commands more than gold, even purest gold. | 127I truly love your commands more than gold, including fine gold. |
For this reason I carefully follow all your precepts. I hate all deceitful actions. | 128I truly consider all of your precepts—all of them—to be just, while I despise every false way. |
Your rules are marvelous. Therefore I observe them. | 129Your decrees are wonderful— that's why I observe them. |
Your instructions are a doorway through which light shines. They give insight to the untrained. | 130The disclosure of your words illuminates, providing understanding to the simple. |

Tears stream down from my eyes, because people do not keep your law. | 136My eyes shed rivers of tears, when others do not obey your instruction. |
You are just, O LORD, and your judgments are fair. | 137LORD, you are righteous, and your judgments are right. |
The rules you impose are just, and absolutely reliable. | 138You have ordered your decrees to us rightly, and they are very faithful. |

Listen to me because of your loyal love! O LORD, revive me, as you typically do! | 149Hear my voice according to your gracious love. LORD, revive me in keeping with your justice. |
Those who are eager to do wrong draw near; they are far from your law. | 150Those who pursue wickedness draw near; they remain far from your instruction. |
You are near, O LORD, and all your commands are reliable. | 151You are near, LORD, and all of your commands are true. |

Your instructions are totally reliable; all your just regulations endure. | 160The sum of your word is truth, and each righteous ordinance of yours is everlasting. |
Rulers pursue me for no reason, yet I am more afraid of disobeying your instructions. | 161Though nobles persecute me for no reason, my heart stands in awe of your words. |
I rejoice in your instructions, like one who finds much plunder. | 162I find joy at what you have said like one who has discovered a great treasure. |
I hate and despise deceit; I love your law. | 163I despise and hate falsehood, but I love your instruction. |

May praise flow freely from my lips, for you teach me your statutes. | 171May my lips utter praise, for you teach me your statutes. |
May my tongue sing about your instructions, for all your commands are just. | 172May my tongue sing about your promise, for all of your commands are right. |
May your hand help me, for I choose to obey your precepts. | 173May your hand stand ready to assist me, for I have chosen your precepts. |
I long for your deliverance, O LORD; I find delight in your law. | 174I am longing for your deliverance, LORD, and your instruction is my joy. |
May I live and praise you! May your regulations help me! | 175Let me live, and I will praise you; let your ordinances help me. |
