| 2“The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, | 2"The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son. |
| 3and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. | 3He sent his slaves to summon those who had been invited to the banquet, but they would not come. |
| 4Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. | 5But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. | 5But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. |

You do not court anyone's favor because you show no partiality. |

| 18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? | 18But Jesus realized their evil intentions and said, "Hypocrites! Why are you testing me? |
