For our shield belongs to the LORD, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.18For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, And said: “I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.19Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.22The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
I will beat down his foes before his face, And plague those who hate him.23And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

If they break My statutes And do not keep My commandments,31If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail.33Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
