| 1When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on the hill. After taking his seat, his disciples came to him, | 1When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain. After he sat down his disciples came to him. |

| 3"How blessed are those who are destitute in spirit, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to them! | 3"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. |

| 13"You are the salt of the world. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty again? | 19So whoever sets aside one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom from heaven. | 22But I say to you, anyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be subject to punishment. And whoever says to his brother 'Raka!' will be subject to the Council. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says 'Fool' will be sent to fiery hell. |
