| 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze. |

| 18“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. | 18“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. |
| 19Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. | 19Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. |
| 20The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. | 20The beasts of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I provide water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My chosen people. |

| 23You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings, Nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense. |
