| 1Brotherly love must continue. | 1Let brotherly love continue. |
| 2Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. | 2Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. |
| 3Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, and those ill-treated as though you too felt their torment. | 3Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. |
| 4Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers. | 4Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. |
| 5Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you and I will never abandon you." | 5Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. |
| 6So we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" | 6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. |
| 7Remember your leaders, who spoke God's message to you; reflect on the outcome of their lives and imitate their faith. | 7Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. |
| 8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! | 8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. |
| 9Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals, which have never benefited those who participated in them. | 9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. |
| 10We have an altar that those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat from. | 10We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. |
| 11For the bodies of those animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuary as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp. | 11For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. |
| 12Therefore, to sanctify the people by his own blood, Jesus also suffered outside the camp. | 12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. |
| 13We must go out to him, then, outside the camp, bearing the abuse he experienced. | 13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. |

| 15Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, acknowledging his name. | 15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. |
| 16And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for God is pleased with such sacrifices. | 16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. |
| 17Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work. Let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you. | 17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. |
| 18Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to conduct ourselves rightly in every respect. | 18Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. |
| 19I especially ask you to pray that I may be restored to you very soon. | 19But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. |
| 20Now may the God of peace who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, | 20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, |
| 21equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in us what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen. | 21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
| 22Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, bear with my message of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you briefly. | 22And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words. |
| 23You should know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon, he will be with me when I see you. | 23Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you. |
| 24Greetings to all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send you greetings. | 24Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you. |
| 25Grace be with you all. | 25Grace be with you all. Amen. |
