Good News Translation
The LORD Almighty will bring them crashing down like branches cut off a tree. The proudest and highest of them will be cut down and humiliated.

Look, the Sovereign, the LORD of hosts, will lop the boughs with terrifying power; the tallest trees will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.

But the LORD All-Powerful will use his fearsome might to bring down the tallest trees and chop off every branch.
