Psalm 66
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth!1For the choir director. A Song. A Psalm. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;
Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.2Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.3Say to God, "How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.
Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude4"All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name." Selah.
Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people!5Come and see the works of God, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.
He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.6He turned the sea into dry land; They passed through the river on foot; There let us rejoice in Him!
For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude7He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises.8Bless our God, O peoples, And sound His praise abroad,
Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.9Who keeps us in life And does not allow our feet to slip.
You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver.10For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined.
You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.11You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.
Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.12You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you—13I shall come into Your house with burnt offerings; I shall pay You my vows,
yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble.14Which my lips uttered And my mouth spoke when I was in distress.
That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you— the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma, and a sacrifice of bulls and male goats. Interlude15I shall offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts, With the smoke of rams; I shall make an offering of bulls with male goats. Selah.
Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.16Come and hear, all who fear God, And I will tell of what He has done for my soul.
For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.17I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.18If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear;
But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.19But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.20Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me.
