Psalm 65
NLT Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationNew American Standard Bible 1995
What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you,1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song. There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, And to You the vow will be performed.
for you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you.2O You who hear prayer, To You all men come.
Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.3Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You forgive them.
What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple.4How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You To dwell in Your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple.
You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.5By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea;
You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength.6Who establishes the mountains by His strength, Being girded with might;
You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations.7Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.
Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.8They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so.9You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth.
You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops.10You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth.
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.11You have crowned the year with Your bounty, And Your paths drip with fatness.
The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.12The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.
The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!13The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.
