| 1What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, | 1For the music director; a psalm of David, a song. Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion. Vows made to you are fulfilled. |
| 2for you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you. | 2You hear prayers; all people approach you. |
| 3Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all. | 3Our record of sins overwhelms me, but you forgive our acts of rebellion. |
| 4What joy for those you choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple. | 4How blessed is the one whom you choose, and allow to live in your palace courts. May we be satisfied with the good things of your house--your holy palace. |
| 5You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. | 5You answer our prayers by performing awesome acts of deliverance, O God, our savior. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so. | 9You visit the earth and give it rain; you make it rich and fertile with overflowing streams full of water. You provide grain for them, for you prepare the earth to yield its crops. |
