| 2"King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the Jews, | 2“I consider myself fortunate that it is before you, King Agrippa, I am going to make my defense today against all the accusations of the Jews, | 2"In regard to all the things of which I am accused by the Jews, I consider myself fortunate, King Agrippa, that I am about to make my defense before you today; | 2I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: | 2I consider myself fortunate, King Agrippa, that today I am going to make a defense before you about everything I am accused of by the Jews, |
| 3and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and controversies. | 15"Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?' | 17I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. Festus Interrupts Paul's Defense | 24At this point Festus interrupted Paul's defense. "You are out of your mind, Paul!" he shouted. "Your great learning is driving you insane." | 24And as he was saying these things in his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are out of your mind; your great learning is driving you out of your mind.” | 24While Paul was saying this in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice, "Paul, you are out of your mind! | 25"I am not insane, most excellent Festus," Paul replied. | 26The king is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner. | 26For the king knows about these things, and to him I speak boldly.
