Then Moses called together the whole community of Israel and told them, “These are the instructions the LORD has commanded you to follow.1And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.
You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the LORD. Anyone who works on that day must be put to death.2Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
You must not even light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath.” Offerings for the Tabernacle3Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.
Then Moses said to the whole community of Israel, “This is what the LORD has commanded:4And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,
Take a sacred offering for the LORD. Let those with generous hearts present the following gifts to the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;5Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,
blue, purple, and scarlet thread; fine linen and goat hair for cloth;6And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather; acacia wood;7And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
olive oil for the lamps; spices for the anointing oil and the fragrant incense;8And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,
onyx stones, and other gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece.9And onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate.
“Come, all of you who are gifted craftsmen. Construct everything that the LORD has commanded:10And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;
the Tabernacle and its sacred tent, its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts, and bases;11The tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his sockets,
the Ark and its carrying poles; the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement; the inner curtain to shield the Ark;12The ark, and the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, and the vail of the covering,
the table, its carrying poles, and all its utensils; the Bread of the Presence;13The table, and his staves, and all his vessels, and the shewbread,
for light, the lampstand, its accessories, the lamp cups, and the olive oil for lighting;14The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,
the incense altar and its carrying poles; the anointing oil and fragrant incense; the curtain for the entrance of the Tabernacle;15And the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,
the altar of burnt offering; the bronze grating of the altar and its carrying poles and utensils; the washbasin with its stand;16The altar of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,
the curtains for the walls of the courtyard; the posts and their bases; the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;17The hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,
the tent pegs of the Tabernacle and courtyard and their ropes;18The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,
the beautifully stitched garments for the priests to wear while ministering in the Holy Place—the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to wear as they minister as priests.”19The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.
So the whole community of Israel left Moses and returned to their tents.20And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.
All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the LORD. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle, for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments.21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.
Both men and women came, all whose hearts were willing. They brought to the LORD their offerings of gold—brooches, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind as a special offering to the LORD.22And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.
All those who owned the following items willingly brought them: blue, purple, and scarlet thread; fine linen and goat hair for cloth; and tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather.23And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers' skins, brought them.
And all who had silver and bronze objects gave them as a sacred offering to the LORD. And those who had acacia wood brought it for use in the project.24Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD'S offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.
All the women who were skilled in sewing and spinning prepared blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen cloth.25And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.
All the women who were willing used their skills to spin the goat hair into yarn.26And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.
The leaders brought onyx stones and the special gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece.27And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;
They also brought spices and olive oil for the light, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense.28And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.
So the people of Israel—every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the LORD had given them through Moses—brought their gifts and gave them freely to the LORD.29The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.
Then Moses told the people of Israel, “The LORD has specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.30And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
The LORD has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.31And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;
He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze.32And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft.33And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.
And the LORD has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others.34And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
The LORD has given them special skills as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet thread on fine linen cloth, and weavers. They excel as craftsmen and as designers.35Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.
