| 1Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved. | 1So then, my brothers and sisters, dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends! |
| 2I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. | 2I appeal to Euodia and to Syntyche to agree in the Lord. |
| 3And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. | 3Yes, I say also to you, true companion, help them. They have struggled together in the gospel ministry along with me and Clement and my other coworkers, whose names are in the book of life. |

| 15Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. | 15And as you Philippians know, at the beginning of my gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in this matter of giving and receiving except you alone. |
| 16For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. | 16For even in Thessalonica on more than one occasion you sent something for my need. |
| 17Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. | 17I do not say this because I am seeking a gift. Rather, I seek the credit that abounds to your account. |
| 18Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. | 18For I have received everything, and I have plenty. I have all I need because I received from Epaphroditus what you sent--a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, very pleasing to God. |
| 19And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. | 19And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. |
