| 1Now about the collection for the Lord's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. | 1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also. |
| 2On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. | 2On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. |
| 3Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. | 3When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem; |
| 4If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me. | 4and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me. |

| 15You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord's people. | 16to submit to such people and to everyone who joins in the work and labors at it. | 16that you also be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors. |
| 17I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. | 17I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part. |
| 18For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition. | 18For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men. |
| 19The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. | 19The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Prisca greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. |
