| 1Jesus said to his disciples, "Stumbling blocks are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! | 1Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! |
| 2It would be better for him to have a millstone tied around his neck and be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. | 2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. |
| 3Watch yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him. | 3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. |
| 4Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to you saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive him." | 4And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. |

| 6So the Lord replied, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this black mulberry tree, 'Be pulled out by the roots and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. | 6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. |
| 7"Would any one of you say to your slave who comes in from the field after plowing or shepherding sheep, 'Come at once and sit down for a meal'? | 7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? |
| 8Won't the master instead say to him, 'Get my dinner ready, and make yourself ready to serve me while I eat and drink. Then you may eat and drink'? | 8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? |
| 9He won't thank the slave because he did what he was told, will he? | 9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. |
| 10So you too, when you have done everything you were commanded to do, should say, 'We are slaves undeserving of special praise; we have only done what was our duty.'" | 10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do. |
| 11Now on the way to Jerusalem, Jesus was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. | 11And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. |
| 12As he was entering a village, ten men with leprosy met him. They stood at a distance, | 12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: |
| 13raised their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." | 13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. |
| 14When he saw them he said, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went along, they were cleansed. | 14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. |
| 15Then one of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. | 15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, |
| 16He fell with his face to the ground at Jesus' feet and thanked him. (Now he was a Samaritan.) | 16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. |
| 17Then Jesus said, "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? | 17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? |
| 18Was no one found to turn back and give praise to God except this foreigner?" | 18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. |
| 19Then he said to the man, "Get up and go your way. Your faith has made you well." | 19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. |
| 20Now at one point the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, | 20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: |
| 21nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is in your midst." | 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. |
| 22Then he said to the disciples, "The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. | 22And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. |
| 23Then people will say to you, 'Look, there he is!' or 'Look, here he is!' Do not go out or chase after them. | 23And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. |
| 24For just like the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. | 24For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. |
| 25But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. | 25But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. |
| 26Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man. | 26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. |
| 27People were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage--right up to the day Noah entered the ark. | 29but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. | 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. |
| 30It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed. | 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. |
| 31On that day, anyone who is on the roof, with his goods in the house, must not come down to take them away, and likewise the person in the field must not turn back. | 31In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. |
