| 2Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! | 2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 3We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith flourishes more and more and the love of each one of you all for one another is ever greater. | 3We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. |
