Psalm 19
NKJV Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew Living Translation
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.1The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.2Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard.3They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,4Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.5It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.
Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.6The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;7The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;8The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.9Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.
More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.10They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.11They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.
Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.12How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.13Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
