A Song. A Psalm of David. O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. | 1A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. |
Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. | 2Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. |
I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations. | 3I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. |
For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds. | 4For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. |
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth; | 5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. |
That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me. | 6Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. |
God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succoth. | 7God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth. |
Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver. | 8Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter. |
Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.” | 9Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph." |
Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? |
Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies? | 11Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? |
Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless. | 12Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. |
Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies. | 13With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. |
