When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence. | 3When my enemies retreat, they stumble and perish before You. |
For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness. | 4For You have upheld my just cause; You sit on Your throne judging righteously. |
You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever. | 5You have rebuked the nations; You have destroyed the wicked; You have erased their name forever and ever. |
O enemy, destructions are finished forever! And you have destroyed cities; Even their memory has perished. | 6The enemy has come to eternal ruin, and You have uprooted their cities; the very memory of them has vanished. |
But the LORD shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. | 7But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment. |
He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness. | 8He judges the world with justice; He governs the people with equity. |
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. | 9The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. |
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. | 10Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. |

Have mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, | 13Be merciful to me, O LORD; see how my enemies afflict me! Lift me up from the gates of death, |
That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation. | 14that I may declare all Your praises—that within the gates of Daughter Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation. |
The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. | 15The nations have fallen into a pit of their making; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden. |
The LORD is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah | 16The LORD is known by the justice He brings; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. Higgaion Selah |
The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. | 17The wicked will return to Sheol—all the nations who forget God. |
For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. | 18For the needy will not always be forgotten; nor the hope of the oppressed forever dashed. |
Arise, O LORD, Do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged in Your sight. | 19Rise up, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your presence. |
Put them in fear, O LORD, That the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah | 20Lay terror upon them, O LORD; let the nations know they are but men. Selah |
