When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, | 3When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place— |
What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? | 4what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? |
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. | 5You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor. |
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, | 6You made him ruler of the works of Your hands; You have placed everything under his feet: |
All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, | 7all sheep and oxen, and even the beasts of the field, |
The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas. | 8the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. |
