| 2You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever. | 2You are the most handsome of all. Gracious words stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever. |
| 3Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. | 3Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so majestic! |
