| 1Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. | 1And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! |
| 2It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. | 2It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. |
