A Psalm of Praise, of David. I will extol You, my God, O King, And I will bless Your name forever and ever. | 1David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. |
Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. | 2Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. |
Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable. | 3Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. |
One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. | 4One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. |
On the glorious splendor of Your majesty And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate. | 5I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. |
Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness. | 6And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. |
They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness. | 7They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. |
The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. | 8The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. |
The LORD is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works. | 9The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. |
All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD, And Your godly ones shall bless You. | 10All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. |
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom And talk of Your power; | 11They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; |
To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom. | 12To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. |
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations. | 13Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. |
The LORD sustains all who fall And raises up all who are bowed down. | 14The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. |
The eyes of all look to You, And You give them their food in due time. | 15The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. |
You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing. | 16Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. |
The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds. | 17The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. |
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. | 18The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. |
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. | 19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. |
The LORD keeps all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. | 20The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. |
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever. | 21My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. |
