HCSB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew International Version
Concerning David, when he pretended to be insane in the presence of Abimelech, who drove him out, and he departed. I will praise the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. 1Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left. I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
I will boast in the LORD; the humble will hear and be glad. 2I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Proclaim Yahweh's greatness with me; let us exalt His name together. 3Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
I sought the LORD, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. 4I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed. 5Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him from all his troubles. 6This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.
The Angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. 7The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the LORD is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him! 8Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
You who are His holy ones, fear Yahweh, for those who fear Him lack nothing. 9Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.
Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing. 10The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 11Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Who is the man who delights in life, loving a long life to enjoy what is good? 12Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech. 13keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Turn away from evil and do what is good; seek peace and pursue it. 14Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry for help. 15The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;
The face of the LORD is set against those who do what is evil, to erase all memory of them from the earth. 16but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them from all their troubles. 17The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
The LORD is near the brokenhearted; He saves those crushed in spirit. 18The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all. 19The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;
He protects all his bones; not one of them is broken. 20he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
Evil brings death to the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. 21Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
The LORD redeems the life of His servants, and all who take refuge in Him will not be punished. 22The LORD will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
