He turned the sea into dry land, and they crossed the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him. | 6He turned the sea into dry land. Israel crossed the river on foot; let us rejoice in him. |

He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip. | 9He gives us life and does not permit our feet to slip. |
For you, God, tested us; you refined us as silver is refined. | 10For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver. |

I cried out to him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue. | 17I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue. |
If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. | 18Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me. |
However, God has listened; he has paid attention to the sound of my prayer. | 19Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers. |
Blessed be God! He has not turned away my prayer or turned his faithful love from me. | 20Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me. |
