1A song. A psalm of David. My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. | 1A song, a psalm of David. I am determined, O God! I will sing and praise you with my whole heart. |
2Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. | 2Awake, O stringed instrument and harp! I will wake up at dawn! |
3I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. | 3I will give you thanks before the nations, O LORD! I will sing praises to you before foreigners! |
4For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. | 4For your loyal love extends beyond the sky, and your faithfulness reaches the clouds. |
5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. | 5Rise up above the sky, O God! May your splendor cover the whole earth! |
6Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. | 6Deliver by your power and answer me, so that the ones you love may be safe. |

9Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph." | 9Moab is my wash basin. I will make Edom serve me. I will shout in triumph over Philistia." |
10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? | 10Who will lead me into the fortified city? Who will bring me to Edom? |
11Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? | 11Have you not rejected us, O God? O God, you do not go into battle with our armies. |
12Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. | 12Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile. |
13With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. | 13By God's power we will conquer; he will trample down our enemies. |
