| 1For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. | 1For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. |
| 2Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, | 2For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven, |
