Corinthians 13
NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT GRK]
New American Standard Bible 1995King James Bible
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part;9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
