Psalm 14
ISV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew International Version
1Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good.1For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
2The LORD looks down from the heavens upon humanity to see if anyone shows discernment as he searches for God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
3All have turned away, together they have become corrupt; no one practices what is good, not even one.3All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
4Will those who do evil ever learn? They devour my people like they devour bread, and never call on the LORD.4Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the LORD.
5There they are seized with terror, because God is with those who are righteous.5But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.
6You would frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD is their refuge.6You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.
7May Israel's deliverance come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will be glad. 7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
