Psalm 14
ISV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNET Bible
1Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good.1For the music director; by David. Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They sin and commit evil deeds; none of them does what is right.
2The LORD looks down from the heavens upon humanity to see if anyone shows discernment as he searches for God.2The LORD looks down from heaven at the human race, to see if there is anyone who is wise and seeks God.
3All have turned away, together they have become corrupt; no one practices what is good, not even one.3Everyone rejects God; they are all morally corrupt. None of them does what is right, not even one!
4Will those who do evil ever learn? They devour my people like they devour bread, and never call on the LORD.4All those who behave wickedly do not understand--those who devour my people as if they were eating bread, and do not call out to the LORD.
5There they are seized with terror, because God is with those who are righteous.5They are absolutely terrified, for God defends the godly.
6You would frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD is their refuge.6You want to humiliate the oppressed, even though the LORD is their shelter.
7May Israel's deliverance come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will be glad. 7I wish the deliverance of Israel would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the well-being of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be happy!
