Psalm 14
ISV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
1Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good.1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.
2The LORD looks down from the heavens upon humanity to see if anyone shows discernment as he searches for God.2The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.
3All have turned away, together they have become corrupt; no one practices what is good, not even one.3They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.
4Will those who do evil ever learn? They devour my people like they devour bread, and never call on the LORD.4Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?
5There they are seized with terror, because God is with those who are righteous.5There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.
6You would frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD is their refuge.6You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge.
7May Israel's deliverance come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice, and Israel will be glad. 7Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.
