1God is our refuge and strength, a great help in times of distress.1לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ לִבְנֵי־ קֹ֑רַח עַֽל־ עֲלָמ֥וֹת שִֽׁיר׃ אֱלֹהִ֣ים לָ֭נוּ מַחֲסֶ֣ה וָעֹ֑ז עֶזְרָ֥ה בְ֝צָר֗וֹת נִמְצָ֥א מְאֹֽד׃
2Therefore we will not be frightened when the earth roars, when the mountains shake in the depths of the seas,2עַל־ כֵּ֣ן לֹא־ נִ֭ירָא בְּהָמִ֣יר אָ֑רֶץ וּבְמ֥וֹט הָ֝רִ֗ים בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּֽים׃
3when its waters roar and rage, when the mountains tremble despite their pride. Interlude3יֶהֱמ֣וּ יֶחְמְר֣וּ מֵימָ֑יו יִֽרְעֲשֽׁוּ־ הָרִ֖ים בְּגַאֲוָת֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃
4Look! There is a river whose streams make the city of God rejoice, even the Holy Place of the Most High.4נָהָ֗ר פְּלָגָ֗יו יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ עִיר־ אֱלֹהִ֑ים קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֽוֹן׃
5Since God is in her midst, she will not be shaken. God will help her at the break of dawn.5אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּ֭קִרְבָּהּ בַּל־ תִּמּ֑וֹט יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּֽקֶר׃
6The nations roared; the kingdoms were shaken. His voice boomed; the earth melts.6הָמ֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם מָ֣טוּ מַמְלָכ֑וֹת נָתַ֥ן בְּ֝קוֹל֗וֹ תָּמ֥וּג אָֽרֶץ׃
7The LORD of the heavenly armies is with us; our refuge is the God of Jacob. Interlude7יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־ לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃
8Come, observe the mighty works of the LORD, who causes desolation in the earth.8לְֽכוּ־ חֲ֭זוּ מִפְעֲל֣וֹת יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־ שָׂ֖ם שַׁמּ֣וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
9He causes wars to cease all over the earth, he causes the bow to break, the spear to snap, the chariots to ignite and burn.9מַשְׁבִּ֥ית מִלְחָמוֹת֮ עַד־ קְצֵ֪ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ קֶ֣שֶׁת יְ֭שַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית עֲ֝גָל֗וֹת יִשְׂרֹ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
10Be in awe and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted throughout the earth.10הַרְפּ֣וּ וּ֭דְעוּ כִּי־ אָנֹכִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָר֥וּם בַּ֝גּוֹיִ֗ם אָר֥וּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
11The LORD of the heavenly armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Interlude11יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־ לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃
