International Standard VersionBerean Study Bible
In you, LORD, I take refuge; let me never be humiliated.1In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
Rescue and deliver me, because you are righteous. Turn your ear to me and save me.2In Your justice, rescue and deliver me; incline Your ear and save me.
Be my sheltering refuge where I may go continuously; command my deliverance for you are my rock and fortress.3Be my rock of refuge, where I can always go. Give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.
My God, deliver me from the power of the wicked and the grasp of ruthless practicers of evil.4Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and ruthless.
For you are my hope, Lord GOD, my security since I was young.5For You are my hope, O Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.
I depended on you since birth, when you brought me from my mother's womb; I praise you continuously.6I have leaned on You since birth; You pulled me from my mother’s womb. My praise is always for You.
I have become an example to many that you are my strong refuge.7I have become a portent to many, but You are my strong refuge.
My mouth is filled with your praise and your splendor daily.8My mouth is filled with Your praise and with Your splendor all day long.
Don't throw me away when I am old; do not abandon me when my strength fails.9Do not discard me in my old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.
For my enemies talk against me; those who seek to kill me plot together10For my enemies speak against me, and those who lie in wait for my life conspire,
and say, "God has abandoned him. Run after him and seize him, because there's no deliverer."11saying, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for there is no one to rescue him.”
God, do not be distant from me. My God, come quickly to help me.12Be not far from me, O God. Hurry, O my God, to help me.
Let my adversaries be ashamed and consumed; let those who seek my destruction be covered with scorn and disgrace.13May the accusers of my soul be ashamed and consumed; may those who seek my harm be covered with scorn and disgrace.
As for me, I will hope continuously and will praise you more and more.14But I will always hope and will praise You more and more.
I will declare your righteousness and your salvation every day, though I do not fully understand what the outcome will be. 15My mouth will declare Your righteousness and Your salvation all day long, though I cannot know their full measure.
Lord GOD, I will come in the power of your mighty acts, remembering your righteousness—yours alone.16I will enter in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will proclaim Your righteousness—Yours alone.
God, you taught me from my youth, so I am still declaring your awesome deeds.17O God, You have taught me from my youth, and to this day I proclaim Your marvelous deeds.
Also, when I reach old age and have gray hair, God, do not forsake me, until I have declared your power to this generation and your might to the next one.18Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I proclaim Your power to the next generation, Your might to all who are to come.
Your many righteous deeds, God, are great,19Your righteousness reaches to the heavens, O God, You who have done great things. Who, O God, is like You?
God, who can compare to you, who caused me to experience troubles that were numerous and disastrous? You will return to revive me and lift me up from the depths of the earth.20Though You have shown me many troubles and misfortunes, You will revive me once again. Even from the depths of the earth You will bring me back up.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.21You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
I also will praise you with the harp; because of your faithfulness, my God, I will praise you with the lyre— Holy One of Israel.22So I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to You with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you, whose life you have redeemed.23When I sing praise to You my lips will shout for joy, along with my soul, which You have redeemed.
Moreover, my tongue will speak all day about your justice; for those who seek my destruction will be utterly humiliated.24My tongue will indeed proclaim Your righteousness all day long, for those who seek my harm are disgraced and confounded.
