Widowhood and Marriage | 5If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband's brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her. | 5“If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead man shall not be married outside the family to a stranger. Her husband’s brother shall go in to her and take her as his wife and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her. | 5"When brothers live together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the deceased shall not be married outside the family to a strange man. He will not fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to me." | 7And if the man does not wish to take his brother’s wife, then his brother’s wife shall go up to the gate to the elders and say, ‘My husband’s brother refuses to perpetuate his brother’s name in Israel; he will not perform the duty of a husband’s brother to me.’ | 7"But if the man does not desire to take his brother's wife, then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate to the elders and say, 'My husband's brother refuses to establish a name for his brother in Israel; he is not willing to perform the duty of a husband's brother to me.' | 7And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother. | 7But if the man doesn't want to marry his sister-in-law, she must go to the elders at the city gate and say, 'My brother-in-law refuses to preserve his brother's name in Israel. He isn't willing to perform the duty of a brother-in-law for me.' |
| 8Then the elders of his town shall summon him and talk to him. If he persists in saying, "I do not want to marry her," | 8Then the elders of his city shall call him and speak to him, and if he persists, saying, ‘I do not wish to take her,’ | 8"Then the elders of his city shall summon him and speak to him. | 9his brother's widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, take off one of his sandals, spit in his face and say, "This is what is done to the man who will not build up his brother's family line." | 9then his brother’s wife shall go up to him in the presence of the elders and pull his sandal off his foot and spit in his face. And she shall answer and say, ‘So shall it be done to the man who does not build up his brother’s house.’ | 9then his brother's wife shall come to him in the sight of the elders, and pull his sandal off his foot and spit in his face; and she shall declare, 'Thus it is done to the man who does not build up his brother's house.' | 9Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house. | 9then his sister-in-law will go up to him in the sight of the elders, remove his sandal from his foot, and spit in his face. | 10That man's line shall be known in Israel as The Family of the Unsandaled. | 10And the name of his house shall be called in Israel, ‘The house of him who had his sandal pulled off.’ | 10"In Israel his name shall be called, 'The house of him whose sandal is removed.' | 10And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed. | 10And his family name in Israel will be called 'The house of the man whose sandal was removed.'" |
| 11If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, | 11“When men fight with one another and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, | 11"If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, | 11When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets: | 11If two men are fighting with each other, and the wife of one steps in to rescue her husband from the one striking him, and she puts out her hand and grabs his genitals, |

Standard Weights and Measures
(Leviticus 27:1-29) | 13Do not have two differing weights in your bag--one heavy, one light. | 13“You shall not have in your bag two kinds of weights, a large and a small. | 13"You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small. | 13Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small. | 13You must not have two different weights in your bag, one heavy and one light. |

Blot Out Amalek | 17Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. | 17“Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you came out of Egypt, | 17"Remember what Amalek did to you along the way when you came out from Egypt, | 17Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; | 17Remember what the Amalekites did to you on the journey after you left Egypt. |
