| 2How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? Interlude | 2O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah. |
| 3You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. | 3But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. |
| 4Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude | 4Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. |
