Psalm 92
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.1A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,2To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre.3Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.4For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
O LORD, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.5O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
Only a simpleton would not know, and only a fool would not understand this:6A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
Though the wicked sprout like weeds and evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
But you, O LORD, will be exalted forever.8But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered.9For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.10But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.11Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.13Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.14They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”15To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
