| 2From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, | 2From the end of the earth I will cry to you whenever my heart is overwhelmed. Place me on the rock that's too high for me. |
| 3for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. | 3For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength before the enemy. |
