New Living Translation | Christian Standard Bible |
Bend down, O LORD, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. | 1Listen, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. |
Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God. | 2Protect my life, for I am faithful. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. |
Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly. | 3Be gracious to me, Lord, for I call to you all day long. |
Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to you. | 4Bring joy to your servant's life, because I appeal to you, Lord. |
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. | 5For you, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive, abounding in faithful love to all who call on you. |
Listen closely to my prayer, O LORD; hear my urgent cry. | 6LORD, hear my prayer; listen to my plea for mercy. |
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me. | 7I call on you in the day of my distress, for you will answer me. |
No pagan god is like you, O Lord. None can do what you do! | 8Lord, there is no one like you among the gods, and there are no works like yours. |
All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name. | 9All the nations you have made will come and bow down before you, Lord, and will honor your name. |
For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God. | 10For you are great and perform wonders; you alone are God. |
Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. | 11Teach me your way, LORD, and I will live by your truth. Give me an undivided mind to fear your name. |
With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God. I will give glory to your name forever, | 12I will praise you with all my heart, Lord my God, and will honor your name forever. |
for your love for me is very great. You have rescued me from the depths of death. | 13For your faithful love for me is great, and you rescue my life from the depths of Sheol. |
O God, insolent people rise up against me; a violent gang is trying to kill me. You mean nothing to them. | 14God, arrogant people have attacked me; a gang of ruthless men intends to kill me. They do not let you guide them. |
But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. | 15But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth. |
Look down and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your servant; save me, the son of your servant. | 16Turn to me and be gracious to me. Give your strength to your servant; save the son of your female servant. |
Send me a sign of your favor. Then those who hate me will be put to shame, for you, O LORD, help and comfort me. | 17Show me a sign of your goodness; my enemies will see and be put to shame because you, LORD, have helped and comforted me. |
