| 2O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” | 2I said to Yahweh, "You are my Lord; I have nothing good besides You." |
| 3As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” | 3As for the holy people who are in the land, they are the noble ones. All my delight is in them. |
| 4Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips. | 4The sorrows of those who take another god for themselves will multiply; I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, and I will not speak their names with my lips. |
| 5O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. | 5 LORD, You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future. |
