| 1A miktam of David. Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge. | 1A Mikhtam of David. Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. |
| 2I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing." | 2I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good besides You." |
| 3I say of the holy people who are in the land, "They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight." | 3As for the saints who are in the earth, They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight. |
| 4Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips. | 4The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor will I take their names upon my lips. |
