For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver. | 10For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver. |
You led us into a trap; you caused us to suffer. | 11You have led us into a trap and set burdens on our backs. |

I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you, | 13I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you |
which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble. | 14that my lips uttered and that my mouth spoke when I was in trouble. |
I will offer up to you fattened animals as burnt sacrifices, along with the smell of sacrificial rams. I will offer cattle and goats. (Selah) | 15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat, along with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams. I will offer bulls along with goats. Interlude |
Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! I will declare what he has done for me. | 16Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. |
I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue. | 17I called aloud to him and praised him with my tongue. |
If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. | 18Were I to cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not listen to me. |
However, God heard; he listened to my prayer. | 19Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers. |
God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me! | 20Blessed be God, who did not turn away my prayers nor his gracious love from me. |
