| 2How long must I worry, and suffer in broad daylight? How long will my enemy gloat over me? | 2How long must I wrestle in my soul, with sorrow in my heart each day? How long will my enemy dominate me? |
| 3Look at me! Answer me, O LORD my God! Revive me, or else I will die! | 3Consider me and respond, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death, |
| 4Then my enemy will say, "I have defeated him!" Then my foes will rejoice because I am upended. | 4lest my enemy say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes rejoice when I fall. |
| 5But I trust in your faithfulness. May I rejoice because of your deliverance! | 5But I have trusted in Your loving devotion; my heart will rejoice in Your salvation. |
