New American Standard Bible 1995 | Holman Christian Standard Bible |
A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD. | 1A song of ascents. Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh! |
Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. | 2Lord, listen to my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my cry for help. |
If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? | 3Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand? |
But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. | 4But with You there is forgiveness, so that You may be revered. |
I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. | 5I wait for Yahweh; I wait and put my hope in His word. |
My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. | 6I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning-- more than watchmen for the morning. |
O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. | 7Israel, put your hope in the LORD. For there is faithful love with the LORD, and with Him is redemption in abundance. |
And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities. | 8And He will redeem Israel from all its sins. |
