| 1O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. | 1Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! |
| 2Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. | 2Sing to the LORD; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. |
| 3Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. | 3Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. |
| 4For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. | 4Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. |
| 5For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. | 5The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the LORD made the heavens! |
| 6Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. | 6Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary. |

| 12Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice | 12Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest sing for joy |
