King James Bible | New American Standard Bible 1995 |
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. | 1How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! |
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. | 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. |
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. | 3He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. |
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. | 4The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. |
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. | 5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. |
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. | 6For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. |
