3There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. | 3There he broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah |
4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. | 4Glorious are you, more majestic than the mountains full of prey. |
5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. | 5The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands. |
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. | 6At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned. |
7Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry? | 7But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused? |

10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. | 10Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt. |
11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. | 11Make your vows to the LORD your God and perform them; let all around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared, |
12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth. | 12who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth. |
