A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. | 1Out of the depths I call to you, LORD! |
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. | 2Lord, listen to my voice; let your ears be attentive to my cry for help. |
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? | 3LORD, if you kept an account of iniquities, Lord, who could stand? |
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. | 4But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be revered. |
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. | 5I wait for the LORD; I wait and put my hope in his word. |
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. | 6I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning--more than watchmen for the morning. |
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. | 7Israel, put your hope in the LORD. For there is faithful love with the LORD, and with him is redemption in abundance. |
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. | 8And he will redeem Israel from all its iniquities. |
