He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.1No man with crushed or severed genitals may enter the assembly of the LORD.
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.2No one of illegitimate birth may enter the assembly of the LORD, nor may any of his descendants, even to the tenth generation.
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:3No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even to the tenth generation.
Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.4For they did not meet you with food and water on your way out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram-naharaim to curse you.
Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.5Yet the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, and the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you.
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.6You are not to seek peace or prosperity from them as long as you live.
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.7Do not despise an Edomite, for he is your brother. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.
The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.8The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.
When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.9When you are encamped against your enemies, then you shall keep yourself from every wicked thing.
If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:10If any man among you becomes unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he must leave the camp and stay outside.
But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.11When evening approaches, he must wash with water, and when the sun sets he may return to the camp.
Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:12You must have a place outside the camp to go and relieve yourself.
And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:13And you must have a digging tool in your equipment so that when you relieve yourself you can dig a hole and cover up your excrement.
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.14For the LORD your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, lest He see anything unclean among you and turn away from you.
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:15Do not return a slave to his master if he has taken refuge with you.
He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.16Let him live among you wherever he chooses, in the town of his pleasing. Do not oppress him.
There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.17No daughter or son of Israel is to be a shrine prostitute.
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.18You must not bring the wages of a prostitute, whether female or male, into the house of the LORD your God to fulfill any vow, because both are detestable to the LORD your God.
Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:19Do not charge your brother interest on money, food, or any other type of loan.
Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.20You may charge a foreigner interest, but not your brother, so that the LORD your God may bless you in everything to which you put your hand in the land that you are entering to possess.
When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.21If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to keep it, because He will surely require it of you, and you will be guilty of sin.
But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.22But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty of sin.
That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.23Be careful to follow through on what comes from your lips, because you have freely vowed to the LORD your God with your own mouth.
When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.24When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, but you must not put any in your basket.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.25When you enter your neighbor’s grainfield, you may pluck the heads of grain with your hand, but you must not put a sickle to your neighbor’s grain.
