| 3Even the sparrow found a house for herself and the swallow a nest to lay her young at your altar, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, my king and God. | 3Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God! |
| 4How happy are those who live in your Temple, for they can praise you continuously. Interlude | 4What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. Interlude |
| 5How happy are those whose strength is in you, whose heart is on your path. | 5What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. |
