Psalm 11
ISV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionNET Bible
1I take refuge in the LORD. So how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains."?1For the music director; by David. In the LORD I have taken shelter. How can you say to me, "Flee to a mountain like a bird!
2Look, the wicked have bent their bow and placed their arrow on the string, to shoot from the darkness at the upright in heart.2For look, the wicked prepare their bows, they put their arrows on the strings, to shoot in the darkness at the morally upright.
3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the godly accomplish?"
4The LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD's throne is in the heavens. His eyes see, his glance examines humanity. 4The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD's throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; his eyes examine all people.
5The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence, he hates.5The LORD approves of the godly, but he hates the wicked and those who love to do violence.
6He rains on the wicked burning coals and sulfur; a scorching wind is their destiny. 6May the LORD rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve!
7Indeed, the LORD is righteous; he loves righteousness; the upright will see him face-to-face.7Certainly the LORD is just; he rewards godly deeds; the upright will experience his favor.
